Medallion Status: True Stories from Secret Rooms by John Hodgman

October 27, 2019

Hodgman explores his elite status in a way that's somehow charming and vulnerable—with the wit and well-honed storytelling you'd expect.

I’m loving John Hodgman’s metamorphosis from entertaining fake facts to witty, original and seemingly more personable stories and observations.

I think I’m most impressed with his ability to write about eliteness in the forms of celebrity, airline rewards and white male privilege while coming off as vulnerable, kind and relatable. Seems like he’s aging well.
