More academic than self-helpish, but still an interesting and easy read. I probably haven’t highlighted so many passages from a book since college, and I’m sure I’ll act on many of Newport’s insights and read this book again when I feel like a drifting knowledge worker without a craftperson’s contentment with his labor.
