The School of Visual Concepts relied on a platform that was shuttered by its parent company, and urgently needed to manage courses, registrations, and payments.
- Worked with the school to identify needs and break them into successive rounds of development phases.
- Developed a CodeIgniter project that powered the website’s front end and a private web-based control panel, with payments handled by a FoxyCart integration.
- Deployed the application and continued to regularly monitor and support it.
- Suggested and planned features with the school that combined ideas, workflow improvements, and support for new offerings in the years that followed.
The school was able to successfully manage its class schedule and registrations in the short term, with a tool it continued to rely on for more than a decade.
“I can’t think of very many pieces of custom software that are still chugging along after 14 years and still serving us well some 20,000 course registrations after its launch. Matt’s work truly makes it possible for us to efficiently run our school.”Larry Asher
