You’re My Favorite Client by Mike Monteiro

January 1, 2015

Another excellent and well-rounded nugget of perspective from Mike Monteiro.

This time, Mike is demystifying the process of working with designers and encouraging all-around healthy and productive dynamics. It doesn’t matter that it’s written for the client, it’s a great read and a reminder to do away with the bullshit and focus on good relationships and good work.

Some complain about Mike’s coarse language and its unprofessionalism. I understand the criticism, but I find his tone somewhat endearing most of the time and rarely gratuitous. Even in the rare instance that I think he misused an explicative, I’m impressed with his confidence and clarity. He may be a bit of an asshole, but not an arrogant one and certainly not without reason or accountability.
