Another of my free Kindle First choices, I blew right through this and enjoyed it. I jumped in without knowing whether it was fiction, and only two things had me leaning that way until the very end: the author’s remarkably casual-yet-efficient descriptive ability, and a few overly-convenient aspects of the plot and one particular character.
