Comfort Crisis by Michael Easter

December 3, 2021

Re-wilding ourselves may be simpler and more vital than we think.

This was a fun read and an urgent, motivating reminder to make room for nature. Not just the nature “out there,” but our individual, animalistic nature as human beings.

Easter managed to pack research, honest personal experience, and storytelling into a book that was insistent without ever being self-important or overly prescriptive. A lot of our problems, he argued, can be avoided by enjoying and exerting ourselves in the wild. I believe him.
